The Perfect Gift for the Chef in the Family
Fustini's offers customers more than just everyday products
It can be difficult to find the perfect gift for the cook in your family or circle of friends. Some people might actually buy the chef a new kitchen gadget, but it’s likely they will already have it. If a cook likes kitchen accessories it’s likely they will know about the latest and greatest gadget long before you do. This leaves you with the obvious options of wine or a cookbook. If your foodie friend enjoys wine this can be a nice gift, but certainly far from unique and you may run into problems trying to ship your favorite wines across state and international boarders.
To be able to stand out and get them something they could need and love, try giving them oil and vinegar gifts.
A great or even decent cook knows they need their oils and spices in the kitchen. You can help them out by giving them some of the best available. In return you might just get a delicious meal. Here are a few you might consider gifting the talented cook in your family.
Tuscan Herb Olive Oil and Sicilian Lemon Balsamic
This combo is great for making a salad dressing. They are also great combined together and drizzled over pasta - especially with tomatoes and Asiago cheese. To top off a great Italian meal the herb olive oil is great for dipping breadsticks in. This type of balsamic is great for marinating poultry and fish.
Garlic Olive Oil and Red Apple Balsamic
This combination of oil and vinegar can help to spice up a meat and veggie meal. If your chef likes to make steaks or even chicken on a regular basis, the combination of the two makes a great marinade. The meat will have both spice and sweetness. Garlic olive oil is always great for dipping, and for those not afraid of garlic, it does wonders when spread across veggies and bread. The red balsamic by itself is for more of a sweet tooth, but it will definitely have guests coming back for seconds.
Meyer Lemon Olive Oil and Aged Traditional Balsamic Vinegar
If your friend or family member is a seafood lover, this is the way to go. Lemon olive oil never goes wrong on fish, and it does wonders on chicken also. Anyone that says that they do not like balsamic vinegar is just someone who has never tried it. Traditional is perfect on a salad, and topped with a little of the lemon oil the salad will be one of the best anyone has ever tried.
There is no reason that shopping for that person that loves to cook cannot be fun. Most chefs like to be creative, and an olive oil gift set with unusual flavors is just what they need to spice up their genius. Any of these combinations would be a perfect gift for the cook to try out.
