7 Ways to Fustinify Your Favorite Summer Sips

For many, summertime is the season we crave ice cold lemonade and iced coffee. With stretches of hot temperatures and bright sunshine to look forward to all year, we all need a tasty beverage to help us stay cool.

Whether you’re looking to create your own classic drink you enjoyed growing up or try out a new take on an adult beverage, the sweet flavors of summer fruits provide you the ingredients you need to have some fun.

And by incorporating some Fustini’s balsamic vinegar - yes, vinegar - you can amp up the flavors in your beverages that can surprise your party guests and family.

To help you get started as your own barista, here we share 7 ways you can “fustinify” some refreshing and tasty beverages to enjoy all summer long.

Summer Sips for All Ages

two glasses of sweet tea

Flavored Sparkling Water

If you’re looking for a quick and easy beverage for everyone, all you need is just two ingredients: water and vinegar. If you love those bottles of flavored water, you can make the same thing yourself, without added sugar. Drizzle in some of your flavored balsamic vinegar into a bottle of sparkling or flat water. Adding a splash of flavor to your water may even just help you drink more water, which is great for your health, too. While any Fustini’s fruity balsamics can be a great addition to your water, we especially love flavors like West Michigan Blueberry, Peach, Mango or Sicilian Lemon.

Sparkling Strawberry Limeade

Forget that bottle of lemonade from the grocery store shelf. Amp up the flavors of the versatile drink with strawberries, lime and honey. This limeade recipe uses Fustini’s Strawberry balsamic and Persian Lime olive oil to add a flavor-packed beverage. Yes, olive oil in a beverage! And with a drizzle of Great Lakes Bee honey, this sip has just the right amount of sweetness to balance the tart lime.

Lemony Arnold Palmer

Arnold Palmer - the beverage - combine the bright flavors of lemonade and iced tea into one summertime concoction. Go for a 1:1 ratio or adjust the amounts to how you like it. And, for an extra lemon kick, drizzle in a little bit of Sicilian Lemon balsamic.

Blackberry Spritzer

Shake up some fresh blackberries and orange juice with some soda water for this refreshing summertime sip. Then, drizzle in some blackberry balsamic from Fustini’s to really kick up the fresh and fruity flavor.

Sips Just for Adults

Fustini’s Peach Punch

Add some spirit to your summertime beverage with this sweet and light peach drink. Just combine soda water, rum, cognac, lemon juice and Fustini’s Peach balsamic vinegar and garnish with a sprig of thyme and enjoy the day.

Peach Sangria

Another use for the sweet summer peach flavor, this sangria recipe is easy to make a batch of for a whole crew. Slice up some fresh fruits like peaches, oranges and lemons, stir in peach nectar, run and pineapple orange juice with a bottle of pinot grigio wine. And with a splash of Fustini’s Peach balsamic, you’ll turn a regular sangria into a sip of peach perfection. Garnish with a sprig of mint and you’re ready to celebrate with friends.

three glasses of bright drinks

Piña Coladas

Travel to somewhere tropical and relaxing with this sweet summer sip. Start with a basic piña colada recipe by combining pineapple juice, coconut water/milk and a few other add-ins. Then, amp up the pineapple flavor with a splash of pineapple balsamic. Or, make the coconut flavor stronger with coconut balsamic. Either way, you’ll have a summer beverage that’ll take you to paradise - with or without the alcohol.

Become Your Own Barista This Summer

Whether you’re whipping up a refreshing beverage for the kids to cool off with or a sparkling way to celebrate the season with your friends, adding in some balsamic to your classic drinks can be a fun way to try something new. Go beyond those storebought mixes and bottled drinks. With just a few simple ingredients, you can whip up a summertime treat that may just become a new favorite.
