Go Green with... GREEN!

Fresh green produce tends to be less processed than some other food options. Discover fresh selection from your nearby farmers market.

Use All the Veggie!

Reduce food waste by spiralizing broccoli stems, making them tender and easy to include in dishes. Fresh veggies that need to be used up are great additions to soups, casseroles, stir-fries and frittatas.

Seasonal Produce

Getting produce that is plentiful in your area decreases transportation and supports local farmers.

April is "Earth Month"

We want to invite you to join us in taking steps toward sustainability this month. Reuse your Fustini's bottle to try a new flavor or refill a favorite oil or vinegar.  By doing so, you lower the amount of glass that needs to be produced as well as reduce the energy used in recycling your bottle.  And, we will give you $1 off your order for each bottle you refill, anytime!

Here's how to get your empty bottle ready for a refill:

CLEAN - empty and rinse your Fustini's bottle
SANITIZE - run them through the dishwasher
DRY - all moisture needs to be evaporated
REFILL - visit any Fustini's location to refill your bottle.  Because we are putting a fresh product into your bottles, it is imperative they are clean, sanitized and dry to keep the quality of your oil or vinegar

(Fustini's reserves the right to reject any bottles that do not meet the guidelines for safety and cleanliness.)

More Ways to Reduce Food Waste

Not only do these suggestions help reduce food waste, but also will save money and even time!

  • Expanding your cooking skills. The more you know, the easier it is to create recipes and save food and money.
  • Plan meals and cook extra proteins to use in meals later in the week.
  • Only buy the groceries you need.
  • Keep track of "use by" dates instead of "best by" dates.
  • Discover how to use meal leftovers and unused portions of protein and produce.
  • Shop your freezer before the grocery store.
  • Use your freezer to store bread, sliced fruit, meat and leftovers that won't be consumed within a week.
  • Regrow vegetable roots. Check out this article on Food52.com
