The rich, earthy flavor of fresh Shiitake mushrooms makes this agrodolce the perfect combination of sweet and sour. Its name comes from “agro” (sour) and “dolce” (sweet) and is made by reducing apple cider vinegar and pure cane sugar. The combination is enriched by adding Shiitake mushrooms. Use it in making a glaze for chicken, pork, salmon or beef. Combine it with a stir fry or Asian noodles.
