Melt the first 4 ingredients in a saucepan and pour over the meatballs, stirring well to glaze the meatballs and place into a 350-degree oven for about 15 minutes, stirring once more halfway through. If using this with frozen meatballs, it will take about 30 - 35 minutes for them to be hot through, again, stirring once or twice during the cooking period.
If you want the flavor of the onion and pepper without the chunkiness in your meatball, try grating the pepper and onion instead of chopping it. Then mix all meatball ingredients together and form into balls, taking care not to overwork the mixture, as that will make the meatballs tough.
Place about an inch or two apart on a baking sheet and bake in a 400-degree oven for 15 minutes. It will make about 30- 40 1 inch meatballs.
