Caprese Prosciutto Sandwich

  • 1 Italian bread or focaccia bread
  • 3 to 4 slices of prosciutto 
  • 1/2 tablespoon Fustini's Gremolata olive oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon Fustini's Balsamic glaze
  • 3 thick slices of fresh mozzarella (buffalo, if possible)
  • 2 fresh tomatoes (thickly sliced)
  • 5 basil leaves
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Freshly ground pepper (to taste)


Step 1. 

Using a serrated knife, slice an Italian sub roll or Focaccia in half lengthwise.  Drizzle the inside with gremolata olive oil and balsamic glaze.  Add basil and tomato to one side and sprinkle with salt and pepper.  Top with fresh mozzarella, the slices of prosciutto, and close sandwich.
