Season the salmon with salt and pepper. Place the pan over high heat and let it get very hot. Place salmon fillet into a hot, dry pan and sear on one side for 6 to 8 minutes – or until brown and crusty. Carefully turn salmon fillet over in the pan and add several tablespoons of the Maple Sriracha glaze. Continue cooking until salmon is cooked and glaze has reduced to a sauce. Serve salmon with sauce poured over top. Garnish with orange peel and jasmine rice
Maple Sriracha Salmon
Bring the vinegar to a simmer in a small saucepan and cook over low heat until reduced by one third – 5-6 minutes. Remove from the heat and let cool slightly. Stir in the maple syrup and Sriracha and let cool completely.
I have made this recipe many times and it is by far my favorite salmon recipe. I would make sure you read through the directions for the glaze as that is made before you cook the salmon. All of our friends that I've made this for have loved it!
Thank you Fustinis for another great recipe!
