Pork Stew with Prunes

  • 3 lbs boneless pork shoulder cut into 2-inch cubes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, rough chop
  • 1 whole apple with skin, rough chop (remove core)
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • ¼ cup Fustini's Red Apple balsamic
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 1 1/2  cup apple cider or apple juice
  • slice of lemon peel with 4 whole cloves stuck into the peel
  • 1 cup  pitted prunes cut in half

Step 1. 

Place all ingredients into the slow cooker. Cook 8/9  hours on low or 5 hours on high.  When you are 1 hour from the end of cooking time add prunes.
