Taco Salad Jar


  • 2 tablespoons Fustini's Chipotle olive oil
  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 15-oz. can black beans, rinsed
  • 2 cups frozen corn, thawed
  • 1 head romaine, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded pepper Jack cheese
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes


Great way to pack a picnic, just don't forget the chips and salsa!


Step 1. 

In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add turkey, salt and seasonings. Cook, breaking up with the back of a wooden spoon or spatula, until deeply golden and cooked through, 8 to 10 minutes. Set aside and let cool 5 minutes.

Step 2. 

Among six mason jars, layer ground turkey, black beans, corn, romaine, cheese, and tomatoes.
