Ingredients
- 1 lb penne pasta (or other shortcut pasta)
- 1/4 cup Fustini's Gremolata olive oil
- 3 cups cubed cooked ham
- 1 large red pepper, diced
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup minced fresh parsley, plus more for garnish
- 1+ tablespoon Fustini's Parmesan Spice blend
- 2 tablespoons Fustini's Citrus Oregano balsamic
- 1 1/2 cups frozen peaas
- 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
Directions
- Cook the pasta according to the package directions. Drain and reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil and add ham, red pepper, and onions. Cook 5-6 minutes until ham is browned and vegetables are tender. Add garlic, parsley, seasoning, and peas, and cook for 2 more minutes. Deglaze the pan with balsamic.
- Add pasta and toss to combine. Add reserved pasta water to keep from scorching the bottom. Mix well and heat through. Top with cheese and reserved parsley before serving.
