Ingredients
- 1 egg white
- ¼ cup sugar
- 3 Tbsp melted butter
- ½ tsp Fustini's Cara Cara Vanilla Balsamic
- 1/8 tsp almond extract
- 1/3 cup flour
- 2 tsp water
Directions
- Heat oven to 375, line baking sheets with parchment. Write fortunes on strips of paper.
- Whip eggs and sugar on high speed until frothy. On low speed, slowly add melted butter, Cara Cara vanilla balsamic, almond extract, flour, and then water. Mix until batter forms, then spoon batter into 3 inch circles on the baking sheets.
- Bake about 5 minutes until the cookies begin to brown around the edges. Working quickly, take the cookies out of the oven, place the messages in the center of the cookies, and fold them twice to get the iconic fortune cookie shape.
