Traverse City Cherry Balsamic BBQ Flatbread Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 Lavash flatbread or 2 large naan flatbread

  • 2-3 tablespoons of your favorite barbecue sauce

  • ¼ cup shredded Mozzarella cheese, packed

  • ¼ cup shredded cooked chicken

  • 1 tablespoon red onion sliced very thinly

  • 1-2 teaspoons Traverse City Cherry Balsamic vinegar

  • Italian parsley (garnish - optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. Mix together balsamic vinegar and barbecue sauce, adjusting to taste.

  3. Lay the flatbread on a baking sheet.

  4. Use a basting brush or back end of a spoon to spread the barbecue sauce in a thin even layer. Keep about ¼ of an inch clear from sauce.

  5. Spread the cheese in a thin layer to cover the barbecue sauce.

  6. Sprinkle the chicken and thin slice of red onion over the cheese.

  7. Bake for 7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the edges are golden brown.

  8. Slice and serve!
