Ingredients
- 1 - 9 oz package of fresh tortellini
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Fustini's Garlic olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1-2 teaspoons Fustini's Tuscan Spice blend
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup of milk
- 1/2 cup half & half
- 2 oz cream cheese
- 1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan
- Kosher salt & freshly ground pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley, for garnish
Ingredients
Directions
- In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook tortellini according to package instructions. Drain well.
- Add olive oil to a sauté, pan over medium heat. Add garlic and cook stirring frequently 1 minute until fragrant. Whisk in flour and stir until browned.
- Gradually whisk in milk and half &, half, cook while whisking consistently, until slightly thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add spices, and stir in cheeses until melted about 1-2 minutes. If the mixture is too thick, add a little more milk as needed. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir in tortellini and gently toss to combine. Serve immediately, garnished with parsley.
Recipe Note
Substitute your favorite herb-infused olive oil. For a more citrus Italian-inspired flavor, use Meyer Lemon olive oil. Adapted from dammndelicious.net
