Ingredients
Ingredients
- 1 pound refrigerated pizza dough
- egg wash (1 egg whisked with 1 tablespoon water)
- 7 mozzarella sticks
- 3 tablespoons Fustini's Tuscan Herb olive oil
- 1/2 cup finely grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon thinly sliced fresh basil
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary
- Fustini's Pyramid Flake Salt
- marinara sauce for serving
Directions
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Cut mozzarella sticks into 1" pieces and set aside.
- On a floured surface, divide pizza dough into two pieces. Stretch and roll each piece of dough into a long rectangle, then cut into 2 inch squares (you will need 33 pieces total)
- Wrap a dough square around each piece of mozzarella, forming a tightly sealed ball. Place balls seam-side down on the baking sheet in the shape of a Christmas tree (they should be touching). Brush egg wash on each dough ball and bake until golden, 15-20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, whisk together olive oil, Parmesan and herbs. Brush on baked pizza balls. Serve warm with marinara for dipping.
Recipe Note
A great recipe to substitute with other Fustini's herb-infused olive oils. Adapted from delish.com
